History of Albemarle Oil Company
Albemarle Oil Company was founded in 1939 in Albemarle North Carlina as a home heating delivery company. Albemarle Oil Company quickly expanded building AMACO Gasoline Service Stations in North Carolina.
Today, Albemarle Oil Company operates 21 Convenience Stores in North & South Carolina as ALCO CONVENIENCE STORES. Albemarlemarle Oil Company also operates 4 Dairy Queen Restaurants and 3 Quiznos Restaurants within the ALCO CONVENIENCE STORES. ALCO CONVENIENCE STORES are locally owned and operated.
ALCO CONVENIENCE STORES FUEL:
We provide gasoline produced by major refiners containing detergent cleaning additives that helps prevent and remove harmful deposits on your engine parts. Our gasoline is formulated to meet or exceed the most stringent EPA requirements. Our gasoline not only keeps your engine clean and operating at peak performance but also helps to reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Our controlled environment underground storage tanks are equipped with advanced fuel-level monitors to safeguard overspills and disasters. Other sensitive electronic equipment monitors tanks and automatically halt the flow of as if water or harmful product is detected. We monitor the quality of our gasoline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We offer 3 grades of fuel: Unleaded, Midgrade, Premium. Other fuel offered, depending on location: K-1 Kerosene and Diesel.
